About the College

Established on 7th September 1959, Anandaram Dhekial Phookan College (ADP College), located in Nagaon, Assam, was founded in memory of the great Assamese litterateur Anandaram Dhekial Phookan, following a resolution of the Assam Sahitya Sabha in 1958. Affiliated to Gauhati University, the college offers diverse undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Arts, Science, and Commerce.

Strengthening its academic and research foundation, ADP College is supported by prestigious agencies such as the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, and the Assam Science Technology and Environment Council (ASTEC), Government of Assam. With ongoing projects under initiatives like the DBT Star College Scheme, the institution continues to promote quality education, scientific research, and innovation for sustainable development.
